About Sugar Hollow Farm
We are a small farm, looking to primarily take care of ourselves, we aren't looking to be any more commercial than the small farm stand I run. Our animals are for our own family use/production and are treated very well. We believe that a loved and happy animal will take care of us production wise and that the food/milk we glean from the animals will be better for that care. We understand, appreciate and respect the part they play in our well being and it is reciprocated.
I keep the farm small so it is manageable by primarily myself (my husband's a weekend farmer working in the city and the kids, well they help out after school).
It is our philosophy that we have been given stewardship over the world and we try very hard to keep things as natural and environmentally responsible as possible. I teach natural living and environmental workshops designed to empower and enrich the natural lives of the community. I am currently working with the local elementary school on building a curriculum that would be implemented on my wetlands to teach the history of the area as well as environmental responsibility.
